In celebration of National Science Week (and the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing), the IEU will be hosting a Community Screening of some of this year’s SCINEMA 2019 on Friday 23 August from 6:30pm.

The program will consist of a selection of short and longer science-themed films for a total of about 2 hours including:

OZONE HOLE: HOW WE SAVED THE PLANET (United Kingdom) 55:55 minutes
WHERE DOES SPACE BEGIN? (United Kingdom) 2:25 minutes
SPACE TO EXPLORE 13:58 minutes
THE RAREST DRUG ON EARTH 10 minutes
SMART SLIME? (United Kingdom) 10 minutes
JEREMY THE LEFTY SNAIL AND OTHER ASYMMETRICAL ANIMALS (United Kingdom) 15 minutes

With access to all 23 films on the program, we might even have time for another depending on interest.

We’ll be using the new [HUGE!] video monitor and sound system in the Ivan Sands Boardroom. As space is limited, we can only offer this to the first 20 people who register below.

We’ll supply the popcorn – all you have to do is bring your curiosity and something comfy to sit on!
