Teacher Learning Network

The Teacher Learning Network (TLN) is a professional development and curriculum support network that provides professional development for teachers and education support staff in Catholic, government and independent schools. It is jointly owned by the Independent Education Union Victoria/Tasmania and the Australian Education Union (Victorian branch).

The TLN has been operating as a not-for-profit incorporated association since 1994, providing professional development services to the two unions and its members.

Since 2016, it has been building partnerships with the interstate branches of the unions and we, at the IEUA WA Branch, have been very fortunate to be one of the first to take advantage of the TLN’s wide body of professional learning resources for its members.

The TLN gives direct access to IEUA WA Branch members to TLN content directly through the TLN website. As a member of the IEUA WA Branch, you receive automatic TLN membership using your own login and password on their site (separate to your IEU login) and access to 24/7 recorded online training and over 200 courses tailored to Australian educators’ professional learning needs.

On the TLN site you can search for courses by sector (primary, secondary, etc) or category (literacy and numeracy or  behavioural management). There is also the opportunity to search by mode of delivery – lecture, workshop or podcast. Some courses are also interactive.

All courses are available free to IEU members as a benefit of membership.

Because of our agreement and in accordance with our privacy policies, existing members prior to March 2018 had their email only supplied to TLN but no other information. The choice is yours as to whether you activate your TLN membership – there is no obligation to join.

New members:
Once you join the IEU, your email address (no other details) will be supplied to TLN in order to generate a password and login and profile. There may be a delay of up to 10 days before you gain access to the site.

If you lose your notification email containing your login and password, please contact TLN directly to have it reset: admin@tln.org.au
