In response to member feedback, we’re delivering Professional Learning a little differently from Term 4, 2019.
If you have five or more people interested in a particular session, there are now two ways you can still get access to our excellent catalogue of Professional Learning.

Book a course with our Education Officers on any of the following topics:
- Classroom/Behaviour Management
Join us for a look at effective classroom and behaviour management – a skill that all teachers need to continually enhance. IEU Education Officers will give you some practical tips to add to your practice. Hone your classroom skills in a relaxing environment. We can tailor this to the primary or secondary classroom context. Suitable for teachers and Education Assistants
Education Officers will facilitate a practical session providing the opportunity to share strategies that foster an inclusive environment for all students. Sessions include differentiating in the primary and secondary classroom, and a separate session for those planning for and teaching IEP students.
- Delegate Training
Delegates play a key role in workplace wellbeing. Education Officers present three courses on building your knowledge and power in the workplace. These cover the main role of the delegate, building power to influence positive change in the workplace, and increasing your industrial knowledge. Includes sub-sessions on How to be an effective delegate, Building power in the work place and Understanding your Award or Agreement.
- Teacher Registration
Need help transitioning from provisional to full registration, or in renewing your registration? Join Education Officers for a one-stop-shop session that covers all TRB requirements including the registration process.
One on one mentoring also available upon request.
- Report Writing
A practical look at where do I start, what do I write, and how can I individualise my reports? Join Education Officers as together we explore and develop report writing skills that all teachers need to engage in as a twice yearly event. An opportunity to network and share best practice.
All of our Professional Learning addresses the Professional Standards for Teachers and you will receive a certificate of participation.
Professional Learning courses are free to IEUA WA Branch members. Non-members are welcome to attend for $20. Any non-member who signs up for IEU membership on the day will get $50 off their membership fee.
