Being a member of the IEUA WA Branch not only gives you access to excellent support from your Delegates, Organisers and Industrial Officers – you are also immediately connected to our industry partners and greater union family through access to education resources, training and professional development, services, retail discounts and other special offers.
We have membership levels for every situation and salary level:
- Student Teachers

- Registered Teachers
- Relief Teachers
- Associate Members and Retirees
Fair pay and conditions are the two main rights in your workplace.
Your pay and conditions can be from an Award, registered Agreement or individual contract. These can vary from one school to the other.
You can also search the Fair Work Commission (for Federal Awards) or the West Australian Industrial Relations Commission (for State Awards) for your agreements and more information on working conditions.
We have negotiated special offers and services with our industry partners. We urge you to always read the Product Disclosure Statement before engaging in any agreement.
We are always negotiating to get the best retail offers and discounts for members.
In many cases, all you have to do is quote your IEU membership number to enjoy discounts with these providers.
Join your colleagues in the IEU and enjoy a better working life.
Your Union negotiates on your behalf to improve your salaries and working conditions.
- Collective Bargaining for your salaries and conditions.
- Confidential advice – Your Union office handles a large number of enquiries on a daily basis.
- Representation – Professional representation on any matter pertaining to your employment.

We provide a number of professional development and training opportunities for our members, both in-house and by partnering with external providers. Sessions are tailored to the diverse needs of members including IEU representatives, teachers, support staff and education assistants.
Sessions during term are scheduled out of school hours. We also run sessions during school term breaks.
You can browse sessions and register for them through this link.
Please note that unless specified, all sessions are free to members. Non-members are welcome to most sessions (again, unless specified) and pay a fee to attend. If non-members decide to join our union, they receive a discount off their membership.
If you have a suggestion or query about any session, please contact email@example.com
